It is a pioneer plant, much like the vine. It prefers sunny, calcareous, and nutrient-poor locations. It is also known as a mood booster – just like our Petillant Naturel.
Auernhofen is a picturesque village in western Middle Franconia – right on the border with Baden-Württemberg. Its wide-open landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and lovingly restored village center invite you to relax and unwind.
You’ll find a lovely playground just behind our farm. Many walking, hiking, and cycling trails pass right by our village. And several noteworthy towns are less than a 30-minute drive away – such as historic Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Würzburg with its many churches, Bad Mergentheim and its beautiful spa gardens, or the Tauber Philharmonic in Weikersheim.
There are numerous outdoor pools and swimming lakes in the immediate area. If you’re spending your holiday with us, the possibilities are wide open: culture, active adventures, or pure relaxation – the choice is yours.
During school holidays, we rent by the week only. Outside of these periods, the minimum stay is 3 nights. Short stays and long-term stays are available on request, depending on availability.
Beds are freshly made upon your arrival. Bath, hand, and kitchen towels are provided in sufficient quantity. There is no cleaning fee. Both apartments are equipped with a dishwasher, oven, stove, electric kettle, coffee maker, Wi-Fi, and TV.
For children: travel cots, bed guards, toilet seat insert, toys, and children’s books.
To ensure the apartment is equipped to suit your family’s needs, please let us know in advance about your children’s ages and sleeping habits.

The heath snail
Heat and drought are the greatest enemies of any snail. When the sun warms the soil, they climb upward, hanging from the vine like a string of pearls.

The bee
It stands as a symbol for the diverse population of wild bees that make their home in the extensively managed areas of the Tauber Valley and help create flourishing landscapes.
“Hasennestle” – The Cozy Holiday Apartment approx. 55 m², suitable for up to 4 adults and 2 children
The “Hasennestle” apartment is located on the first floor of our annex building. It features a spacious master bedroom, a separate children’s bedroom, a large open-plan kitchen and living area, and a bathroom. Situated right off the wooden gallery on the upper floor, accessible via staircase, with a lovely view of the inner courtyard and a private seating area just outside the apartment.
Beds are made upon your arrival, and towels are provided in sufficient quantity.

Feuerstein
Flint
It represents a special feature, appearing as veins (silex) within the shell limestone of the Röttinger Feuerstein vineyard. Wines from these soils tend to be firmer and more concentrated than those from pure shell limestone.

Beds are made upon your arrival,
and towels are provided in sufficient quantity.
Use of the sauna, with direct access via the apartment bathroom,
is available on request.
